"Shade" and "Wade" rhyme

So here is the deal with my new bike, part by part, and how I acquired the stuff. I knew that after ten years of flow, that my new bike would cost me some money. As such, I sold my old one to raise funds. Of course, I still have some pull, and I’m not above a bit of shadiness…

Frame: MacNeil Heaton II – Yellow – “limited edition” – I had to buy this from Ten Pack, although they really didn’t charge me much. I had been riding free Solid frames for years, but I gave that hookup up to ride my friends’ stuff, and as they don’t really care if I run their stuff or not, and as the industry is down, they charged me for it. Bastards. It has been modified so that it is now a quarter of a pound lighter, and a 1/4" shorter in the rear (now 13.25")
Fork: MacNeil ID with U brake lugs – brown – had to pay – bastards – my last pair was free
Bars: MacNeil Tall Lighter bars – brown – traded a pair of Ronin Big E bars with Jamie, because he should have them
Seat and Post: MacNeil Combo w/ Capital seat – had to pay – bastards – my last one was free
Brakes: Dia Tech Hombre front w/ Fiesta, Dia Tech Magic arms rear with Fiesta pack - – had to pay – bastards – my old ones were free from Dia Tech – and were shipped to me with homebrew
Levers: Dia Compe Tech 77 – traded with Marseille Bike Shop for a T-shirt that I got for free – don’t tell anybody
Headset: FSA stainless sealed internal – I contacted Toast at FSA, but he didn’t work there anymore. Someone intercepted the email and hooked me up because I know Toast.
Stem: Demolition F1 (flowed by La who loves me) with ground down and shortened Knight titanium bolts (traded a free stem for these with Marseille, so they were free)
Grips: We The People Dave Osato Slapshots – skimmed off of the King Of Quebec prizes two years ago
Bar Ends: MacNeil aluminum – flowed! (I still got free stuff in the summer of 2005)
Front Cable: Ten Pack – flowed! (I still got free stuff in the summer of 2005)
Detangler Cables: SST – flowed! Used to work for them.
Detangler: Snafu Mobeus – traded something free to Marseille for it
Cranks: Profile chrome race LHD (flowed by Matt C. from Profile!) with ti spindle and ti bolts (I have to pay for titanium stuff from Profile)
BB: MacNeil Push-Fit – flowed! (I still got free stuff in the summer of 2005)
Sprocket: 25t MacNeil Guard brown – paid for this one, after getting at least five for free in the past
Pedals: KHE Stimulatorz, unsealed – traded for Suntour coaster brake parts with Brandon Fenton
Chain: KMC purple – Ride On Don gave me this at Vancouver Metro so I would show the kids in Montreal and drum up some business for him
Rims: front – Araya Super 7X (Ten Pack discount), rear – Primo Balance 7000 series (Ten Pack discount) – despite the fact that I have two perfectly good (but heavier) free rims in my closet
Ft. Hub: 36H Profile mini with 3/8 ti bolts – flowed by Profile!
Rear Hub: 36H LHD Profile mini with 3/8 ti bolts and ti 9t driver - got about half of this for free, and paid for the titanium parts
Spokes: Marwi titanium w/ gold nipples (two-crossed) – traded old free parts for these with a guy from Marwi
Tires: Demolition Zeppelin 1.80” – hooked up by La
Seat Clamp: Demolition – La La La
Pegs: 4 MacNeil Titanium w/ Macneil Caps – caps were free, but Miron let the boys know that I was NOT to get free ti pegs. I used the money that John Parker got me for free (an event that forgot to fly me in) – so paid, but flowed.
Brake Hanger: Avid Tri-Dangle – purple – the last part I paid full retail for back in 1994 – $13.99 USD

In total, I had to pay about one third of the money out that I sold my bike for. So the rest goes for my new guitar, I guess. Picture soon.
