Fecal indeed

Shitty day. I fell so hard off my bike today just sprinting up the street. I'm wrecked and bleeding. I even slid on my head, leaving a plactic skid 18 inches long on the pavement. I might have messed up my ankle. I'm not even sure what happened. Slipped a pedal? It felt like my chain derailed, but it didn't.
And I pissed off an old friend today, which sucks. Hopefully that can be fixed.
Back to work, as I'm a set of conclusions away from finishing my PhD on BMX.

Third KOQ

Round Three KOQ 2006 results
A good time. Orkus was good to us. Even gave the riders free hot dogs. I got a t-shirt for my troubles.

Pro
1. Pierre Gauthier
2. Eric Trepanier
3. Crazy Chris
4. Jo Boutch

Expert
1. Corey Dewey 110 pts
2. Ted Bambrick 100
3. Sebastien Babineau 90
3. Jon Chun 90
5. Rich Redmond 70
6. Andrew Grant 60
7. Jordan Guth 50
8. Nick Vanegmond 40
9. Mike Fiset 30
10. Brandon Lalonde 20

Intermediate
1. Jason Herman
2. Dillon Lloyd
3. Jared Goldmans
4. Prashant Gopal
5. Joel Bondu
5. Arf
7. Robert Davidson

OVERALL:
Ted Bambrick 118 + 98 + 100 = 316
Corey Dewey 68 + 110 = 178
Claude Fréchette 88 + 78 = 166
Rich Redmond 38+58 + 70 = 166
Jonathan Chun 58 + 90 = 148
Craig 118
Charles Deschamps 118
Sebastien Babineau 18 + 90 = 108
Brandon 88 + 20 = 108
Jimmy 38+58 = 96
Freak 38 +58 = 96
Antho 68+18 = 86
Oli Brunelle 68+ 18 = 86
David Gauthier 18+18 = 36
Oli Rouseau 18+17 = 35

The only way for Ted not to win the overall King Of Quebec title and bike would be if he didn’t show up at the last event, and if Dewey won in a class with 39 riders (100 + 39 points). Looks like you’ve got it, Tedrick.
The next event, the finals, will be in Trois Rivieres. Not sure when yet, but in August.

Stripped

I was having headset problems, so I left the front brakes and the detangler off my bike until it was resolved to facilitate maintenance. Weird thing is, now that I have no pegs, no gyro, and no front brake, my bike feels soooooo good. POP! And the weight on it is down to 21.5ish lbs. Hmmmmmmm.

KOQ this weekend!

I'm looking forward to Sunday at Orkus. I hope we get a good turnout.
I guess Josh is going to buy my Heaton II when I get my new frame. Heck yeah.
My PhD dissertation on BMX magazines is currently 305 pages. Anybody want to read it?

stuff

The Solid prizes came today. Wahooo! Aaron rules.
Less than two weeks to the KOQ at Orkus here in Montreal. If something goes wrong, we'll do it at Ugly Ass Bikes.
My PhD on BMX magazines should be done in less than a month. Just finished the last chapter's first draft.
Then I think I'll drive to woodward to see Parker, and learn backflips.
D'arcy doesn't like me. I like him, though. Jamie doesn't like me either. Payin' for shit. Jeez. Still, a baby-blue 4.9lb frame might be nice. Anyone want a custom painted, lavender Heaton II, 20", 5.25 lbs?
